Terms of Use
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the CrewPlanet mobile app and the crewplanet.app website (together, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of them, you do not have permission to access or use the Service.
About us
The Service is operated by Knowhayo, a sole proprietorship (eenmanszaak) established in the Netherlands, with its registered address at Trompstraat 14, 1271 TA Huizen, the Netherlands (KvK 72418893), trading as CrewPlanet. You can reach us at info@crewplanet.app.
The Service
CrewPlanet is a social platform for the aviation and travel community. Through the mobile app you can:
- Share tips and recommendations with the community.
- Create and discover local events.
- Connect and chat with other crew.
- Access exclusive deals and offers.
- Build a network within the aviation and travel community.
The crewplanet.app website is an informational page about the app. It does not provide the CrewPlanet service itself — those features are available only in the mobile app, which you download from the App Store or Google Play.
User accounts
Account creation
To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information.
- Maintain the security of your account credentials.
- Promptly update any changes to your information.
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account.
Account termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in harmful behaviour. You may delete your account at any time from the app's profile settings.
User content
Your content
You retain ownership of the content you create and share on CrewPlanet. By posting content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, display, and distribute your content on the Service for the purpose of operating and providing it.
Content standards
You agree not to post content that:
- Is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or harassing.
- Contains hate speech or discriminatory content.
- Is sexually explicit or pornographic.
- Violates intellectual property rights.
- Contains false or misleading information.
- Promotes dangerous or illegal activities.
- Contains malware or harmful code.
Content removal
We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or is otherwise objectionable, without prior notice.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose.
- Impersonate others or provide false information.
- Harass, abuse, or harm other users.
- Send spam or unsolicited messages.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service.
- Interfere with, disrupt, or scrape the Service at scale.
- Use automated means to access the Service without permission.
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations.
Privacy and data protection
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
Intellectual property
Our property
The CrewPlanet name and logo, and the Service — including its design, features, content, and code (excluding user content) — are owned by CrewPlanet or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or reuse them without our written permission.
Feedback
Any feedback or suggestions you provide about the Service may be used by us without any obligation to compensate you.
Third-party services
The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services, including the Apple App Store and Google Play. We are not responsible for the content or practices of those third parties, which have their own terms and privacy policies.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
- The information on the Service is accurate or complete.
- The Service will meet your requirements.
- Any defects will be corrected.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CrewPlanet will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold CrewPlanet harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:
- Your use of the Service.
- Your violation of these Terms.
- Your violation of any rights of another party.
- Your content posted on the Service.
Children
CrewPlanet is intended for aviation professionals and is not directed at, or intended for use by, children under 16.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes through the Service or via email. The "last updated" date above reflects the latest version, and your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
Governing law and dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands and applicable European Union law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service will be subject to the competent courts of the Netherlands.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
Entire agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and CrewPlanet regarding your use of the Service.
