Delete your account
You can delete your CrewPlanet account and the personal data associated with it at any time. This page explains how to do it — in the app or by request — what gets removed, and how long it takes. It applies to the CrewPlanet mobile app (Knowhayo, trading as CrewPlanet).
Delete your account in the app
The quickest way is from inside the app:
- Open the CrewPlanet app and go to your Profile.
- Open Settings.
- Tap Delete Account and confirm.
This permanently deletes your account and the personal data associated with it.
Request deletion without the app
If you can no longer access the app, email us at info@crewplanet.app from the email address registered to your account, with the subject "Account deletion request". We will verify the request and delete your account and data. You do not need to reinstall the app or sign in.
What gets deleted
When your account is deleted, we remove the personal data associated with it, including:
- Your profile — name, email address, username, profile picture, and crew details (airline, role, home base).
- Content you created — tips, deals, events, messages, and connections.
- Photos and other media you uploaded.
Your account and content are removed from the app immediately and purged from our backups within 30 days.
What we may keep
We may retain a limited amount of data where we are legally required to, or where it is necessary to prevent fraud and abuse or to resolve disputes — for the shortest period needed, after which it is deleted. See our Privacy Policy for details on what we store and for how long.
